The Thai politics will never be the same again without former PM Thaksin Shinawatra's leadership
In my opinion while observing the current political tension in Bangkok, Thailand's economy will NEVER ever be the same again. While under former PM Thaksin Shinawatra's leadership, the Thai economy was going in the right direction with many businesses booming and lives were getting better for the poor. Then came the smart-alec military chief Sonthi who made the blunder msitake of staging a military coup in Thaksin's absence. Now where is he? He is nowhere to be seen or heard. That time was a really coward move on his part. I hope when the constitution is changed, he will be prosecuted. I always thought that the Thai people are loving towards their fellow Thais. But it seems that they are now hurting each other over a stupid claim that PM Samak is the puppet and nominee of Thaksin. As a foreigner I can feel the frustration and anger of the many Thais who didn't agree with the PAD's protests and storming of tje government offices. Many of them are also fed-up and given up hope that Thailand will be on track again. I don't blame them for feeling this way because it is a fact that Thailand is slowly but surely going down the drain if these stupid protesters don't stop their protests. The PAD leaders ought to be shot dead or thrown into jail for good! They don't deserve to lead the country no matter what because they only spell trouble for the Thais! So what if the government is corrupted at that time? At least the country is heading towards prosperity. I personally think that those PAD leaders who are desperate to take over the government are equally corrupted even before they took over power. Only stupid people will join their protests. I hate to say that no new government will ever bring Thailand back to where it used to be during Thaksin's era except the current Samak's government if they are given the chance to continue leading the country. Even I can see that Thaksin has given up hope and this may be the reason why he decided to elope and leave Thailand for good. I thought he and his family actually made the right move. Had I been the PM, I would have eliminated those PAD leaders long time ago. No one is above the law. But Samak has been very tolerant and for that I respect him. I am sure he'll bring those bastards to justice. It is just a matter of time. My final verdict for Thailand? It is a LAWLESS country and it will NEVER prosper as long as the country's peace is caused by the PAD leaders and its supporters.
