High time for the Thai Government to come up with a new law to act on protesters
In my opinion, I think the Thai Government should start a new law to take serious action against those who disturbed the peace of the country especially organising street protests to oust the government. If this is not done, the same old problem will keep repeating and this will definitely have a great impact on its citizens. No citizen wants to live in a country where chaos occur daily. In this current situation, the government seems helpless. Those who go against the government without valid reason should be prosecuted. Now it looks like the government is so afraid of these protester leaders. If something is not done immediately to curb it, the situation will have a dire consequences. And what makes the oppositions think that they could get away with it? If they can oust the current government using street protests, how can they be sure that they don't face the same thing when they took power? So at the end of the day, the government will keep changing and in no time, its economy will lose all the businesses that once helped it to grow. Have these protester leaders ever thought of all this? Being a foreigner I am frustrated to see this happening over and over again because it is jeopardizing my plan to start a business in Bangkok. Honestly if the economy is thriving, who cares if the government is corrupted? At least they deliver and I think that's what its people want to see. Could it be that oppositions are dying to take over power because they too can siphon the state money? Maybe that's their hidden agenda and it is their ulterior motive? Who knows? So far they have been accusing the current government of corruption just because the majority of them were formally from the former Thaksin's government. I feel that the protester leaders should sit down and talk to the government. Right now they are just behaving so childishly and also sending the wrong signal to the Thai citizens that you could topple a government easily just by staging street protests. Even if they go for another round of election, PPP will still take the lead. They should honour the last election result and give PPP a chance to lead and change the country for the better. It was the people's choice and not through any corrupted means. Just look at the former coup leader whom I deemed as a coward because when the military took power after ousting former PM Thaksin, he changed the constitution so that any new government cannot prosecute him for initiating the coup. Now where is he? Hidding somewhere I am sure. Nothing heard of him at all. Come on protesters, think of the long-term future of your country. You should speak out against these protesters as it is your right as a citizen to enjoy the peace and prosperity of your country. What you want is a peaceful and thriving country. Bring back the pre-Thaksin era where good life was restored.
